Fred and Annette purchased a beautiful Glass on Glass Mosaic made by Kory Dollar of Marvelous Mosaic, but they didn’t have a proper ‘home’ for it at their apartment in Forest Grove, Oregon. Nary a one of their windows had direct sun, and this mosaic simply HAD to have direct sunlight to bring out the full tapestry of color, texture and flow of this splendid work of painstakingly created art.
Feeding Two Birds With One Idea
However, after they experienced yet another supernumerary inquisitory foray by their interminably meddlesome next-door neighbor, they knew what had to be done but didn’t have the ability or tools. Kory Dollar suggested that I might be someone who could provide them with the skills to execute their plan. Well, wouldn’t you know it, I do and I did! And that plan was to build a privacy screen that looks really cool!
And so a purpose for the eagle mosaic and barrier from the pernicious and pestiferous proximal resident had been conceived, and this is the result.
The angular trim was my interpretation of ‘ribbon’ a sort of a way of ‘presenting’ the piece to onlookers. I don’t know if that makes sense to any of you, but that’s my intent. Artists will ‘get it’.
