Very cool work. I like how the glass looks like ocean waves, and the wood has the same waves going on. I think Brenda should be very happy with that piece. I look forward to more posts. Awesome work, Dave.

Hello Parker, sorry it took me so long to acknowledge your splendid compliments, but my workload was steep with tight time constraints. I'm so glad you like my work, and yes, Brenda is thrilled to have the piece. I will be posting a couple more story's soon, so be on the lookout.

I listened to one of your short story's and found the writing very engaging, so I will return for more. I listen rather than read as my eyesight is beginning to wane and the text-to-speech function on Substack is very good. Did you know you can select the voice you want your readers to hear? It took me a while to discover that, I opted for the snooty UK voice xD

Again, thank you for the kind words, I'll look forward to reading your comments on my next post.

Hehe. I might opt for the snooty UK voice, too. No, I had no idea that you could do that. I’m glad you have the option. My eyesight is great for now but I’m sure that will change one day and options like this are great to have. I’m glad you enjoyed it and I will definitely be checking out more of your posts.

What an honor to be the recipient of such a fine piece. The coffee, time, and knowledge have been equally meaningful.

I was laughing so much with your recount of our introduction! The second version most epic 😂. Thank you for the fun post and for sharing my work as well. You are most gracious. I’ll share pictures once it’s up.

Keep doing what you’re doing my friend. 💫

Thank you, but the honor is all mine. Being able to teach you woodworking fills me with the hope of knowing that once I enter the next phase of being, your highly competent and imaginative spirit will create beautiful works that will astonish all who look.

Any fool can make a seat by tipping over a tree, but an intelligent, high functioning person with intuition and drive can make many, many comfortable chairs with beauty and integrity. You, my dearest friend, have all that, you are all that! I'm looking forward to the day when school is over and you can be cut loose to create whatever you set your mind to. I really want to show you some tricks on how to optimize material usage, something lost on all the consumerist types.

And HUGE thanks for the coffees!!! I certainly didn't expect that. When someone buys me a coffee, it is a giant boost in moral support, what you did really got to me - what a sweet surprise!

This was AWESOME. I love how that turned out. Thank you for sharing. I've always wanted to learn glass blowing, never had the chance. The closest I came was when I repaired old fashioned storm windows for my dad with the old school push-pins and then caulk.

This is getting me excited for some Spring projects I have coming up.

Thank you, kind Sir, like most things I do, it was a labor of love. There is no way to get full monetary reward for the amount of hours put into a project such as this, but when I start on a vision, everything dissolves into the background, most of all, time. I think you understand fully.

If you and I were in close proximity, I would help you trick out anything, even some old tool shed.

Cheers, and may your weekend be grand!
